Anyone seen this before?

It's an altbier with 1007 fermenting at 60*F. I know it's a hybrid style but yeesh! I didn't expect it to ferment exactly between top and bottom. Is it a lager? Is it an ale? No, it's an altbier!

yeah below the yeast, but super clean up above, and fermentation above and below? I've never seen this before, but I think I like it

I don't know if it is fermenting above and below. I've never brewed an altbier before, but it looked like lumped up break material. I don't think you have to worry though.
