I am pondering insulating my HLT with the material I use on my MLT. It's a product I purchased at Lowe's, and it's the shiny, metal looking insulation. Anywho, this morning it took me an hour and 20 minutes to get my HLT up to sparge temp. It's a converted Keg. I was wondering if insulating it would help speed uip the process, and save some propane at the same time. Anyone here have their HLT insulated?

I have all three of my keggles wrapped but haven't had a chance to use them yet. Hopefully I can report back soon. :ban: I can't imagine it would hurt....

My converted keggle HLT is insulated with Reflectix (stuff you mentioned from Lowes), but it's electric -- I don't know how the insulation would fair under a direct fired keggle.
