Anyone ever empty a keg through a loose hose?

Well I did yesterday. Thankfully it was just a plain American ale and not one of my specialty beers. Went to quick carb it for 24 hours and accidently left the beer out jumper on from tasting it and it blew the hose off the barb. Emptied the keg and my CO2 tank while I was at a friend's house.

Live and learn, I guess.

Just had something similar this week-don't think it was a hose though.
It looks like the o-ring on the out post leaked. Full keg on the floor of the chest freezer.
(Also in the same week, chest freezer died - only cools to about 60.)

I just about cried over spilled beer!

I did this once with a jockey box, you have to use much higher pressure with them, and mine used hose and clamps between the coil and shanks. Half a corny blew out inside the cooler without me knowing. Bummer. I wish the ss coil had barbed ends. I use that coil now as an IC and it still gives me a bit of grief now and then. It's 5/16 OD so fittings are not as common.
