My wife is preggers so its building up. Ive made a lot of high alcohol beers for the baby and then winter so I'm running out of bottles while I try to stock up on everyday-type beers for when the brewing stops for a while

i had to start printing out labels for my bottles so when i bring them to parties full of people who "don't know", they wouldn't be afraid to crack one open and help me get them all good n' empty.

*high alcohol to age during pregnancy and breast feeding, then to celebrate being able to drink again

I brew more than I drink (not more than I can drink, mind you)

I've been trying to shed a good 50 pounds or so, I'm about half way there and I'm getting tested for an ulcer this Friday, so I've had to essentially put the brakes on the enjoyment.

If I have an ulcer, once that PITA goes away, I'm gonna get back on the drinking wagon (and still keep exercising like mad).

Brew less more often. If i have ingredients, they must be brewed, whether they sit or get drank.I dont socialize nearly as much now as when i was younger and the trouble ive gotten into ouside of my home has kind of led me to just drink at home.My second owi actually was my first due to 10 years clearing my other. My last owi it was the first time out at a bar in a year, due to a fight with my girlfriend.Talk about a bad night.
Nothing wrong with building up stock and cellaring them or something,i brew weekly, once i run out i may brew bi-weekly from there on sometimes weekly can become a chore, then you feel guilty if you dont brew cuz your like man thats one week longer i can try a new beer, oh well.Ha

I am sure it will happen to me. I usually only drink one or two per night. I am running out of my first two batches tho.

I'm brewing a lot lately just to keep a rolling stock that has proper time to age.

I have 10 gal in the fridge right now (one's tapped) and 15 gallons just freshly kegged and 5 in primary.

I can slow it down now and I'll only brew as my capacity can handle - 5 cornys and flip-top bottles enough for a batch.

I'm probably going to get 3 more cornys and another load of bottles though. Some stuff I'd like to have sitting in the keg for a couple months before tapping.

I might brew four or five weekends in a row then have a month where other things keep me from brewing. It all works out. I have a few friends who always seem willing to help keep my stock from aging too much. Or once in a while have the ball team over after games; easy to demolish two or three dozen that way.

Next time I roll through Petaluma, I'll make sure to steal a full keg or two from you. That should help. :D

I have a young kid, too, but honestly, it's not hard to find other dads (and quite a few moms) interested in drinking my beer. They never get out of the house either, so any opportunity to drink is a good one. Just bring a sixer to the next kid's birthday party. Won't take long before you get asked to bring beer to every other kid's party, too.
