Could there be forces that hold you high?
Not for free they'd certainly charge
Positive or negative in a little sky
Perhaps you could even collide if you were large?

Was that a question or an answer, I could not fathom, could the solution be a tiny atom?
 
A poor man is sitting in a pub. He sees that the man next to him is extremely rich.
Poor man: I have an amazing talent; I know almost every song that has ever existed.
The rich man laughs.
Poor man: I am willing to bet you all the money you have in your wallet that I can sing a popular song that includes a lady's name of your choosing.
The rich man laughs again.
Rich man: OK, how about my daughter's name, Joanna Armstrong-Miller?
The poor man goes home rich.
What song did he sing?
 
One day older, you may be
On a joyous occasion to not only me
If I were to sing a song
It would'nt last all day long
A very short and fun thing to do
I would sing "Happy Birthday to You"
 
I was hiding my answer why?
So that others could try
Yet If I was correct
I could could still claim the bet
Atom was what I thought
Still don't know if it was right or naught

Very close thou art
but not quite at the heart
isn't the whole but only a part
 
Ruling out others that energy has less effect on, the answer must be an orbiting electron. If I'm right, I still forfeit to the distinguished gentleman from Laguna Niguel.

In LRB's defense, swap out the nucleus for gravity and an atom passes the test.

Fibonnacci did make it quite simple
So what are the numbers you need to dwiddle?

Is there truly a number that I believe Snowtires sunflower might gell.

I believe might start with 1.6
A few other numbers go into the mix.

This riddle is tricky, much I have learned.
About numbers and nature and curves that have turned,
Into more then just numbers and riddles and shapes.
But something that's with us since before we were apes. And interesting thing that someone probably found high.
I think the answer might just be phi

Similar to one portrayed on a justice sight

Here is the challenge and understand
It was the same first question i asked
This is not underhand

You are given 9 golf balls.

One ball is lighter than the rest but they all look the same.

Their weight can't be determend by a human feel test.

There is only one way and one answer that is the best.

You are given a scale, a balancing type scale, not the kind we use making ale.

You may use the scale twice to find out which ball is the light one.

If this were easy you could use it thrice.

Proceed...

Hit all of the golf balls with your fav iron. Drink a beer. Go home. Done!

2 balls on either side for the first weigh. if they weigh the same then different sets of 2 balls on each side for second weigh. if they weigh the same then it is the last remaining ball. If the first or second weigh has one side weighing more than the other split those 2 balls (the heavier ones) and weigh them against each other. You should be able to easily find the heaviest ball in 2-3 weighingings.

Or you could weaigh 4 and 4, then split the heavier one to 2 and 2 and use the same logic with the 3rd weighing and odd ball out.
 
Three balls placed on each side
Is just enough to help decide.
If the scale doesn't tip, then you are aware
The heavy ball isn't on there.
Of the heaviest group of balls,
Weigh just two. That's all.

If the scale tips, you've found the one.
If it doesn't, the heavy ball you are still holding, son.
 
Place 4 balls on each pan. If the pans are level the odd ball is the heavier. Weigh it. If one of the pans goes down add weights to the other until the scale is level. Note the mass used. Now weigh the 9 th ball. This is the 2nd weighing. Add the results from the two weighings. That's the weight of the heavy ball.

A simpler answer is to pick up each ball in turn until you find the heavier one and then weigh it.
 
Ooops, I responded to the exhortation to "Find the different ball weight" when I see (reading on the computer rather than the iPhone so I can easily see all the posts) that the charge is really to find the different weight ball.
