I wish I had one to put up. I'd make something up, but I've got to get to bed. Early AM ride in the morning (if it stops raining).
I thought it was too easy. You're quick, slick.
Hmm... okay I'll give this a goHere are some from one of my favorite books, The Hobbit by J R R Tolkien. I'm sure nobody will be stumped by these unless they haven't read the book. In which case, dude, you really need to read the book!
Riddle 1:
What has roots as nobody sees,
Is taller than trees,
Up, up it goes,
And yet never grows?
Riddle 2:
Voiceless it cries,
Wingless flutters,
Toothless bites,
Mouthless mutters.
Riddle 3:
It cannot be seen, cannot be felt,
Cannot be heard, cannot be smelt.
It lies behind stars and under hills,
And empty holes it fills.
It comes out first and follows after,
Ends life, kills laughter.
Riddle 4:
Alive without breath,
As cold as death;
Never thirsty, ever drinking,
All in mail never clinking.
Riddle 5:
This thing all things devours;
Birds, beasts, trees, flowers;
Gnaws iron, bites steel;
Grinds hard stones to meal;
Slays king, ruins town,
And beats mountain down.
Hmm... okay I'll give this a go
5 riddles said and just how do i sow
The first I believe might be the "sky"
That's probably wrong I'm just giving a try
The second one is it the "wind"?
That's the answer I do send
Number three I can think of two answers
darkness or shadow,
darkness my dog Prancer says is
Number four, must be a "fish"
with scales like chainmaille
or something like this
Riddle #5 I believe the answer is "time"
That's just me dropping my dime
Maybe I need to read the book
But for now it's time for my lunch to cook.

As I was going to St Ives
I met a man with seven wives
Every wife had seven sacks
Every sack had seven cats
Every cat had seven kittens
Kittens, cats, sacks, wives
How many were going to St Ives
Just one, the man on the way to St Ives. The "I" in the riddle.
