I am wondering if its decent quality, compared to the standard kettle:

The price difference is $70 but if it has a welded bung, how is the weld? Or is it better to just drill my own hole and use a weldless setup? Anybody have any problems with bacteria because your using weldless setups?

^ some people on another forum are saying its a weldless - One thing I noticed is that there is rim/ring going around the bottom of this. I wonder what that is for, since the one w/o the ball valve doesn't have it

I think the one with the indentation on the bottom for the false bottom is nice, I just wish I could order the pot and do all the holes and spigot myself. I wonder if the pot with the indentation on the top is to catch the lip on one of those drop in baskets. Also, does anyone know if the pot with the bottom indentation can fit a basket in case I wanted to boil crawfish or something?
