I really, really want to go. It's from 1-3 on February 23. I can't talk my best Texas friend, or my husband into doing it and it's too far for just a one day deal so I just don't think I'm going to be able to do it.

If anybody is going, could you promise to take photos? I really would love to see the brewery and meet the brewers.

I'm going. Went last year and had a fun time. I was the only brewer out of the whole lot that got close to guessing all the grain. It was where you guess what the three grains are and if correct you get a prize

I'm still working on getting people to go! My husband is an AHA member, and my friends want to be, so it's just a matter of getting a commitment from them (and a hotel room). No way we should go and then drive back down to Rockport.

There is a lot to see than just the AHA rally. Flying Saucer is down the street and some good stuff close by

They have a "thing" for the Hong Kong Mall (I think that's what it's called). I'm sure we could find things to do for a day or two. I have a friend who will watch my dog for a couple of days, so I think we could do it.

My friends from Austin are coming this weekend as well, and I will try to talk them into it. They would have to join the AHA- but as a couple that should be in the $55 range, I'd guess.

How did this turn out? I'm headed to an AHA Rally at Foothills in a few weeks. I was curious what to expect. Obviously, I've never been to one.

It was fine. Its just a big room full of homebrewers and people that could help you if you have any questions. Seems all the homebrew clubs are full of old farts here.

At Saint Arnold they had "open bar", free beer. There were tables of local brew clubs and businesses and the owner gave a private tour which is just like their standard tour but with the owner. Also, they should have a raffle where you can win some good stuff. I never win raffles, ever. Could be different per brewery but they are fun to go too.
