Any tips for washing WLP 002?

I have just tried to wash some White Labs WLP002 English Ale Yeast slurry....

This yeast settles quicker than the trub and hop particles, there's no way you could wash the normal way. My usual way would be to wash yeast is leave it to settle for a short while and pour off the top layers and store that, but with this yeast I have ended up pouring off the top layer quickly and storing the bottom layer.

Anyone got any tips ready for my next attempt

My suggested would be to not rinse: Simple Yeast Storage Procedure with Photos

I assume your "normal" way is rinsing with water and not washing with an acid solution. I expect top cropping of that yeast would work well also...or overbuilding starters if you are into that.
