Hey i found lots of post but none awnsered the question exactly. In one post a guy said he used a 1/2gallon water to top off a mead. Im making a peach wine (6 gal recipe) and my secoundary is a 6gal but after adding fruit(16.5lbs) and everything i could not add enough water to the bucket(primary =7.9 gal) I know I have atleast 5 gallons water in the bucket this is a 6 gal recipe so i have enough fruit/ingredients for 6 gallons but yeast is now 2 days into fermentation (i was in a rush going to work that night) could not turn back after finding all the water would not fit i was going to try to get 6.5gals in so i could have some extra just for racking looks like it back fired so could i add 1 gal or atleast 3/4 gallon that should be safe enough 5 3/4gals in a 6 gal right?
