I have been brewing about a year. Mainly extract kits but recently have done several biab batches with minimal equipment. I intend to make a serious switch to all grain in the immediate future. This forum will play a major role in educating me further and help me find some brewing buddies near my home in South Orange County.

Welcome - I am up in Pasadena, but I am sure there's no shortage of brewers down in your neck of the desert!

Love the fact you are BIABing - that in itself is serious AG brewing as I am sure you will figure out. Check out the BIAB sub-forum before making the jump to all sorts of pumps and coolers and what have you...

Glad to know you found this place, it has been invaluable to me!

Welcome aboard. You should learn plenty on here, just ask questions and search the forums if you get stuck. Of course what are you going to do when the state runs out of water? :mug:

I will pack up my family, TV and brewing gear to move to a wetter place with abundant brewing supplies. It is important to know ones priorities.

That is exactly what I would do. Except with half of the nonsense that makes this state what it is, I might do that way before the water runs out.

The last time we were in SoCal, our daughter was graduating from the culinary academy in Pasadena. She now runs "Cookie Me Happy" in Hollywood. About the cheapest thing we found we could do in SoCal was eat. Getting a bud with a meal was a few bucks each. So I can see where home brewing would be a very viable option to you folks out there. And you flew over the right cuckoo's nest coming here...;)
