Hello all...

I am new to the homebrew game, but have found that it fits my current work schedule of traveling about 75% perfectly. I have labeled my efforts after my two cats who have become my brewing partners, Big Butt and Little Butt.

I am experimenting with everything, and really enjoying the cooking/science fusion of home beer making.

My experience so far (in order):

1-Summer Ale (fantastic citrusy notes, just a tad too heavy to be sessionable)
2- Honey Brown (ruined it, tossed in yeast when wort was at 100 degrees and experiemented with a homemade air lock... ended up with some funky stuff. I poured it out.)
3- Oktoberfest (currently in week one of 3 week lagering at 36 degrees)
4- Rye Pale Ale (dry hopped yesterday, bottling on 6/9/13)

next attempt will be a raspberry ale, at my girlfriend's request...

I will post my recipe for the Summer Ale when I get home.

Welcome to the group. I travel for a living, and greatly enjoy the fact that the good ole USA has a decent brewery or brewpub in almost every city.

Patience is the most important brewing ingredient, time rarely hurts beer.
