You could sub Cascade or something similarly citrusy for the dry hop.

Since I can't get any Amarillo leaf hops I came up with this solution, I will dry hop in the secondary with Amarillo pellets and then dry hop in the keg with Cascade leaf hops. Do you think that will work? Is it worth the extra step of a secondary just to get that Amarillo goodness in there?

This is my first attempt at dry hopping so I hope I am not overlooking something with this idea that could be disastrous.

Thanks.

I brew for a second time this nice recipe today. The first one with my new mashtun! The color was better then the first time, can't wait to tast this beauty! Thanks fos the recipe!

Thanks for using my recipe to break in your new mash tun! I think I am planning on brewing this one again soon once I can get a hold of the hops!

Think I'll have to try this. We are going for our first AG brew, want to do an IPA having done two extracts before.
Doesnt sound too complicated. Just hav to get the ingredients now!

Great recipe! Left to dry hop for 2 weeks. Kegged it and poured my first draft today. Man o man what a great IPA. Crisp and great hoppy aroma, but not overpowering. I got 1.055 OG / 1.004 FG. This one is being brewed again and will probably be on my keg for a while.

I brewed this a couple months ago. Tastes great! ImageUploadedByHome Brew1398530743.605832.jpg
