got a preliminary plan with about 4-8 friends we are thinking about doing this summer..We will have an all day skills compition that involves beer. Start at around 11 am go golf 9 holes, bowl a game of bowling, hit the batting cages. Each game requiring two beers to be drank at each event. Then head back to my house and play fooseball, horseshoes, darts, billiards, ext. all with the two beer minimum per person. So now about 8 hours in and 12-16 beers, we do beer pong, quarters, beer chug and baseballl stick games. Tally how everyone placed in all events, who hasnt passed out ect. And winner gets a few 100$ and a trophy. anyone tried this, how did work? and does anyone have any good idea for events??

We've did that recently for a bud's 30th birthday party. We called it beer olympics. Let's just say its not a good idea to be drinking that much in public.

Sound like fun. In terms of strategy I'm thinking you drink beer on the lighter side with lots and water and substantial food.

I think you'll have a hard time finding batting cages that allow beer. Sounds fun though. We planned on doing a beer fest/olympics a couple years ago and just never did. Maybe in 10 years when the kid(s) are old enough to fend themselves I can reconsider.

You could probably rent a limo for pretty cheap per person if it's not "in season" (prom, spring/fall weddings). Takes care of the DD and would add a cool element.

I just hope there isn't a spelling 'compition' involved haha All joking aside, sounds like you'll have fun.

Only 2 beers while playing 9 holes? I would get mighty thirsty...

Maybe 2 beers for every 3 holes?

Bocce is the beer game of all time.

I got a nice set for $49.

Seriously, the old italian guys knew something about drinking and sporting.

add lawn darts and you have something... make it at the end of the night IMO

Don't do it! I did something like this during my brother's bachelor's party several years ago. Needless to say, flipping golf carts, driving through bunkers, and $5,000 later I learned drinking beer (as well as vodka) and golf carts don't mix. Think of the movie ******* and you'll understand.

Between you and me, it was AWESOME! Sadly, my soon-to-be wife didn't think so...

If you have any near you, you have to add go cart racing in there. Did that for my bachelor party and we had already been drinking before and between every race we downed a beer and did a ****. I still don't know how some peoples lap times actually kept going down.

DO NOT DO THIS

No offense dataz722, but I think you are basically recommending that he drink and drive. I know it sounds stupid being go carts and all, but you can get a dui drinking a beer while riding your mower.

Be safe.

Its actually much safer than drinking and driving a golf cart. I have seen people completely sober roll a golf cart before.

The idea that it may or may not be safer is not the point. It is against the law. And while I'm not a huge fan of all of the laws in this country, advising someone to do something that could get them into serious legal trouble is beyond idiotic.

Again, I mean no offense. Just doesn't seem bright to me.

Don't worry, noone has ever offended me. I don't know if its even possible. :mug:

But just for the sake of argument I don't think it is illegal. Since it is on private property and not a public road I don't think you can get charged with a DUI. Just like you can't get charged with one at a golf course. Now, if you took that golf cart, go cart, or lawn mower (like you said earlier) down the street to the store to get more beer then you could be charged. Might vary state to state but thats how Maryland and Delaware are, I believe.

Back home there was a bar that had a go kart track attached. It was completely legal to drink and drive the carts. They would watch to make sure you weren't "too drunk" but there were some pretty drunk people they would let out there! As you can imagine there were a LOT of accidents and sometimes injuries. Eventually the insurance was costing them too much and they had to shut it down.

Point of my ramblings...in Ohio (and at least 10 years ago) it was NOT illegal.

I've heard of people getting arrested mowing their own lawn drinking. Just not worth the risk IMO.
