- Clean, crisp. Mild bitter with very light malt notes
5 Gallon
All Grain
9lbs Pilsner
1lb Vienna
2oz. Sauermalz
60 min 1.5 oz. Hallertauer Früh (4%)
10 min 0.5 oz. Hallertauer Früh (4%)
Half Crystal Geyser (Roxanne source)
Half distilled water
Mashed at 151
90 minute boil
Ferment at 62-67F 10 days
Rack to secondary with gelatin and cold crash. Lager at 40-45F for 14 days.
Kegged and carbed at 2 (ish) volumes.
Upon reflection I really should have left out the 10 minutes hops. They really did nothing good for the beer and it didnt start to shine until the aroma started dying out. Very much already a staple that gets brewed between other batches to lager while whatever else is on tap.
