I thought they tasted similar enough that you knew they were related, but still definitely identifiable which was which. All in all I thought Allagash did a great job running the event, with the possible minor exception that it seemed like a lot of the food ran out on the early side of the event. Had some good beers afterwards at Liquid Riot, and then back at the hotel. Thanks to sleepydave for the hospitality on Sunday.

Overall the event was awesome and I would give it 9.5/10 execution. My only tiny gripes would be:

-the Allagash tent outside had all 4 beers at one table which led to very long lines at the end of session 1, and as a result I missed a couple beers (partially my own fault too of course)
-the girl pouring the Allagash WFB was haphazardly dumping pours into glasses going as fast as she could. She was probably just trying to help by moving the line along, but I felt that beer should have been given a little more care to how it was served. I saw full dregs pours being dumped in people's glasses, not exactly how I'd want my only taste of WFB ever if it was me...conversely the Cantillon blend was served from baskets and poured very carefully.

Just nitpicking though, fantastic day.

I agree on both of those nitpicks, and from what I heard, there was more food at session 1.

That being said they were absolutely minor, and that was unquestionably the best beer event I've ever been to.

Eventide still stopped serving food late into the second hour. They were having trouble just keeping stuff on the table. Free lobster rolls in Maine is pandemonium

At least session 1 got Eventide... We didnt :(

The pork bun place and the outliers ravoli for session 2 both closed about 2 hours into it as well.

agree totally on that. could have set up 2 or even four tables for the beer in that tent. also I got the dregs from 2 bottles as my pour as there was only about 1 1/2-2 oz left in each.

Maybe that was the plan all along. I dont not remember seeing pork buns or raviolis at session 1. Was this in the old brewery with the dairy tanks?

the Ravioli was right by STSpils and the pork buns where in the back corner of the Allagash tent.

such a dope event! but i'm in the same boat i definitely wish there was more food! i was starving afterwards haha

Those rolls were amazing! I also scarfed down like 6 and some smoked salmon fritters. Thirsty Pig had decent lobster sausages next to the RR pils tap(great placement on that tap, perfect for sausages).

Here's one of my pics from WFB showing some barrels marked with a "CUV" circle to be used in that blend. Lots of Password is Taco, some Peterman, and a little bit of Nimbus. No idea what any of those are...Likely a few more things marked for blending too that I didn't see.

Peterman's is the spontaneously fermented Allagash white. Don't know anything about the others.
