Your yeast is on the way along with the rest of your order. We had an incredible sale on Saturday. We received 10 days worth of orders in one day! Be patient with us. We have 3 new people in the shipping department and we are working day and night to get the orders out. I worked 15 hours yesterday in the shipping department. Thanks for all of the props and continued business.

I got the email that my order shipped and will be here on Thurs. That's AWESOME!! I really expected 7-10 days with the sale going on. I'm new to brewing but have ordered from AHBS twice and have been impressed both times.

Can't wait to taste the product!

AHBS rocks. I highly recommend the Summit IPA. It was best beer I ever made. It was one of those beers that is so good you only end up giving a couple away, just so you can drink as much as possible.

I have their winter warmer in primary right now.

I'm a fairly new brewer and I purchased a "Blue Moon" and "Fat Tire" clone kit from them. Unfortunately, I ordered them with liquid yeast in the height of a 90-100 deg F heat wave. I didn't make a starter and both of my kits fermented with a wild yeast strain, not the liquid yeast (it must have died in transit) and I had to dump both batches!

I love their selection, ease of ordering and freight policy but I will never order liquid yeast again.

im a rookie brewer as well..my suggestion is to not be cheap and spend the dollar or two it cost for the ice pack w your yeast. ive done three of their kits FatTire clone turned out perfect--used dry yeast. 1554 in primary w dry yeast--fermentation started in 4hrs. AHBS double ipa in primary--went WhiteLab option on this one and i did a 3qt starter, decanted, pitched, fermentation within 4hrs. IMHO AHBS can be more affordable if youre ordering 2-3 kits at a time--$7 shipping on 2-3 kits:rockin:

I have ordered at least one kit from AHB and it was a well made product. Good instructions.

I generally order from Northern Brewer, but that has as much to do with proximity as anything. I live in Wisconsin and NB is a day away for me. Austin Home Brew is considered our supplier of second choice and MoreBeer our third.

i've done the following AHBS kits...

double chocolate stout
vanilla porter
samuel smiths oatmeal stout

the dc stout was outstanding, as i am sure the others will be when i start drinking them in the next 3-5 weeks... :ban:

i also have the blue moon clone kit, which will be brewed in a couple weeks.

outstanding service, outstanding kits, outstanding instructions.... top notch for sure... plus living in dallas i can get my kits in 2 days :rockin:

Getting Belgian White and Samuel Smith oatmeal stout clone kits tomorrow. Along with a yeast starter kit. crossing my fingers that the liquid yeast isnt DOA from this heat.

I have done AHBS Chocolate rasberry stout, english bitter, and I am doing one of their lagers this weekend. I was so happy with the kits upon arrival that I propositioned forrest publicly on this board. Additionally I still have an open offer for him to carry one of my alien love children.
