So, it has been a while, almost a year, since my last brew day. Because of a drastic change in living arrangements. Next month I will officially be back on my feet and able to brew again, and I want to go from doing partial boil extract brewing to all grain full boils, but the situation isn't isn't isn't. I have two options available, as follows, and would like opinions on which is better for my all grain brew day.

Both situations I will be brewing with one of those turkey fryers and a home depot cooler mash tun.

I have the option of brewing the beer in the parking lot of my Apt, and doing an ice bath to bring the temps down before pitching,

or brewing at my mothers (8 miles) or brothers (20 miles), use a wort chiller, and then transport the beer in my Honda Element, risking aeration.

Any opinions?

Do whatever is easiest for you. Aeration is not a problem before you pitch the yeast, in fact you want your wort aerated.

So if it easier to brew at your mothers or brothers house, then do it and pitch the yeast when you get home.

+1 on the delayed pitch. Even if you pitched it before you drove home I don't think you'd be over aerating it. But brewing in the parking lot would be pretty funny :ban:
