Looking to add a second element to my Unibrau setup. Loving it so far, just would like a little quicker heating times to shorten the brew-day, as well as add some vigor to the boil.

The element I have in there now is 1600w and works fairly well. The boil isn't the most intense, but it moves the wort. The second element would be run on a separate circuit with no controller (unless I can add a rudimentary manual controller?). I have the choice between 600w and 1600w for the second element, making either boiling wattage of 2200w or 3200w. This is all for a 6 gallon fermenter volume batch.

Which would you guys suggest? I really like the thought of 3200w for heating times, but I don't want to have too hard of a boil.

I run a 4500W element at 80% for 5 or 6gallon batches so 3600W so as Bobby_M said It will work fine.
Mine is in a 50L pot with a pretty wide top so more surface area
