So, i made an Irish Red (from Charles Papazians book, "No Sham Shamrock Irish Red Ale) using DME, last Saturday night...I was wondering if anyone had any good ideas in relation to what i could add to my secondary fermenter to give it a unique taste??

I added vanilla beans to my secondary fermenter (for my Vanilla Milk Stout) before and it was great. Thanks in advance for any help!:mug:

I'm a fan of hitting my reds with a little bit of a low-AA dry hopping. I added an ounce or so of Sonnet (4%) to my last red and it turned out spectacular. But I tend to like my reds hoppier than some :).

For more unusual additions, you could try a *little* oak or oaked bourbon for a bit of a kick. However, if you go with oak, be really careful, as it's extremely easy to overdo.
