adding unhopped LME to ginger beer LME?? anyone tried it?

Last time i made a ginger beer with a extract kit, it came out so sweet...
wasnt very the best, but someone had to drink it hahaha

I'm keen to do another BUT i want something with abit more of a tartness...
would adding a unhopped beer extract to the ginger beer extract work??

has anyone tried?

what about adding hop pellets to a ginger beer?
anyone??
