Hi all. Quick question. I want to add oak chips to an AHS vanilla porter. Here is my plan. Looking for suggestions and critique as I have never done this before.
Soak 1 oz oak chips in makers mark for 2 weeks. Age open air or covered or does it even matter?
Then I will add the oak chips and the whiskey to the secondary fermenter and leave it for a couple of months
Does that sound good? Thanks
