Hello all, had gotten a brew kit this last Christmas and just started my third batch earlier this week. Found this site two weeks ago, have been lurking and have learned so much already. Doing basic extracts now but looking to get a bit more complex and eventually move to all grain next year! This site seems to be a great resource for everything brewing and I cant wait to learn all of the finer details. Happy brewing!
 
Congrats on joining the hobby!

Are you steeping specialty grains with the beers you are doing. This is one very easy way to get more flavor. Beyond that you have partial mashes, brew in a bag, all grain, etc. The nice thing is no matter what method you choose you can make great beer.
 
Just remember this hobby can be as cheap as a single pot on the stove to as expensive as your SWMBO will allow! With this said make sure to brew beer your SWMBO will enjoy as the funds will be easier to obtain. :cross:

Are you steeping specialty grains with the beers you are doing. This is one very easy way to get more flavor. Beyond that you have partial mashes, brew in a bag, all grain, etc. The nice thing is no matter what method you choose you can make great beer.

So far I have done extract kits from Brewers Best.

#1: Amber Ale - Currently drinking - went cookie cutter with it.

#2: Whisky Barrel Stout - Just bottled monday after 4 weeks soaking with Jack Daniels soaked Oaked Chips. Also added an extra lb of DME.

#3: American Cream Ale - Sitting in fermenting bucket since Wednesday. Will split it up in secondary to do 3 gal raspberry and 2 gal jalapeno. Thinking a 6er of raspapeno beer sounds fun!

NEXT: Chimay Blue Clone (extract)
