Did I ruin my beer by adding yeast nutrient when racking it to the secondary? i thought it would help but...its not looking that way. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
When i added the yeast nutrient it was in a tube in powder form and i kind of just tossed it in when it was racking... immediately regretted it. But i added it because i thought the potential alcohol was too high and wanted to speed it through a bit..
It probably won't hurt the beer, but at that stage it's really unnecessary. If you just poured in some straight from the vial, it should be fairly sanitary.
Thanks, its good to hear something fairly positive. its been almost a week now and i dont see anything wierd like mold etc. it should turn out to be a good Falconers Flight extra IPA
