Looking for some advice here. I am currently fermenting a pliny clone, and have not noticed any strong signs of ferm. I noticed bubbles for a day straight on day 4 (after stuggling with blow off tube suckback, more than likely caused by the 58 degree temp?)and that was it. I have not had any kraeusen, or activity on the top of wort. Should I pitch more yeast??? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

have you taken a gravity reading with a hydrometer? that will help to see if you have a problem

What was to OG? Some additional info may help other diagnose your problem. Also, as stated many, many times, on many, many threads, air lock bubbles and visable krausen are not a sign of active fermentation. Like stated above, have you taken a gravity reading? That is the only way to see if fermentation is active or not.

I have not yet taken a reading. Forgot to take OG. Today marks day 7. Would you recommend I take a reading today, and say again next week? Ironically enough, I now see some activity on top. Small patch's of foam, and some other something floating up there.

Yes, take a reading today and let us know what it is.
