The idea was to dry hop with 3 oz of Cascade, which I like. But put in the Northern Brewer instead (which I use exclusively for bittering additions at the beginning of the boil). A good lesson learned. While the beer is drinkable, it certainly gave it a different flavor. Not my favorite IPA I've done, but I'll finish it. This is my worst screw up in 14 batches, so I won't cry in my beer too much. And it sure taught me that hop additions have a definitive influence on the flavor of the finished product. Which has prompted me to place an order for NZ Pacifica hops, which I plan to mix with Cascade on both a hop stand and dry hop additions. Any comments on that combo? Cheers all.
