Accidentally doubled hops

So I just finished brewing a brown/dark ale rbatch, based on the extract option here:
https://www.homebrewersassociation.org/homebrew-recipe/newcastle-brown-ale-clone/
The recipe calls for 30g EKG hops at 90 and 30.
I accidentally doubled that amount and added about 60g each time instead.

What should I expect? Overly bitter beer? How bad is it gonna be?

It will probably be fine. And if you don't like it, any excess hops or bitterness will fade if you just wait a few months.

I've always just let her rip if I've made a mistake or what I thought was a mistake. But that being said you can always boil up some malt, chill it add it to your fermenter and increase the original gravity. That could reduce your perceived bitterness... Obviously you have to keep in mind the beer style if you're trying to stay within it...

Good luck

Cheers
Jay

just don't do a fancy closed transfer, and use a siphon. it will balance out the extra hops? lol at least that's what i've been reading i think..... :mug:

(i see East Kent Golding has a AA% of 5...so, it's not like throwing two ounces of Chinook into a 1 gallon batch)
