I did my first ever all grain batch a few weeks ago and I was aiming for a cross between an American IPA and a Belgian wit.
I've read some forums where people are having trouble nailing down the juicy nature of the NE IPA craze and I just wanted to share my experience. This isn't my favorite style of IPAs and I have a brewery a mile from my place that specializes in this style so I know good ones from bad ones. Besides the slight mistake of having too complex of sugars from a hot mash, I'd put this brew up against anyone's in competition!
