acceptable fluid for yeast starters?

You'd need to boil it first, but yeah.. I'd drop a hop pellet or two in there also, but you probably don't need to.
 
If you're just making starters with it don't add any hops. Boil and cool before pitching yeast. Sounds like a perfect situation to me.

Thanks guys. I thought I read it was in the proper Gravity range for starter.

This liquid is becoming quite versitle.

I just used it to thin out a porter I had put too high % of roasted malts into.

Boiled up a gallon, cooled aerated then added to "thin" a high gravity porter I brewed too "Dark."
little yeast to bump, and it took off again :)
