Going to drill HLT today, wondering about placement of element, coil, and probes. I've read to put mash probe on the coil out. HLT probe in the low side of vessel or the water out? Do I have to constantly recirculate the water to get an accurate reading? I guess I want the element as low as possible, would the coil sit on top of the element? Or element stuck through the coil somewhere? Any other advice would be appreciated. Thanks

In regards to where the element sits. Mine is right below my herms coil and the coil does touch the element in one spot. I’ve had zero issues with it like this.

For the mash temp probe I’m interested to see what others are doing. Following.
