Cool idea for a forum topic area.

I joined a couple of weeks ago and have already had a few posts. I've been brewing "technically" for 10 years, but was off/on for the last 9 years after my daughters and son were born. I've already made more beer this year than the past 4-5 years combined.

I made a New Year's resolution to get serious about it again and built a mash tun and other equipment to brew all-grain. I'm learning how to make my own recipes (malt bill, IBU, etc.).

I bought equipment in the past to keg but never used it. Eventually I get a CO2 tank and the replacement parts for the corny kegs and get it done.

I have 3 kids from 3 to 9 and an awesome wife who likes to drink and make beer with me. Our plan is to build space in the basement to brew, keg and serve beer from the bar.

My favorite styles are pale ales, porters and brown ales. I actually don't like German "pils" style (I think they lack character) however that style is influenced in Norway (look up Bryggehus) and I hope to brew up some Norwegian influenced beer someday to share with my dad. I rarely ever like wheat beer.

Favorite micro brews: Bells' Two Hearted and Hopslam, Great Lakes Chirstmas Ale and Burning River, Dogfish Head 60 and 90 Minute, Old Brown Dog, Arrogant Bastard and 21st Amendment.

I cook up a mean BBQ and own 3 types of grills and make my own sauce. This summer is going to be awesome with my owned kegged beer and backyard BBQ!!

Outside of that, I work in Interactive Marketing (so I'm not new to message boards), have a Master's Degree, golf a lot, hate snow, like to eat out and travel.
