I did my gravity reading at 75 degrees F ( I know that's a little high, but I don't have a wort chiller yet and had to use the bath method and I really wanted to get the bucket sealed up) and the reading said 1.044. Since my hydrometer is calibrated for readings at 60 degrees, how do I figure my true gravity reading?

Your hydrometer should have come with an information sheet... On that is how to adjust for temperatures above 60F...

At 75F, add .001 to the OG reading... If it was 77F, you would add .002 to the OG reading. So for the OG of 1.044, adjusting for temperature you're at 1.045 or 1.046...

FYI, refractometers with ATC don't suffer from needing to be adjusted for sample temperature... :drunk:
