I am about to start a 1 gallon expieriment and i was wondering if any one has tried this flavor combo before and how it turned out?

Mint honey dew.

I've been planning on a strawberry melon mint mead but haven't gotten around to it. It's a great flavor combination, I've just never had it in a mead.

Well I'd suggest something more straight forward for a first batch, because it'd be very easy to swamp one flavour with the other if the mix isn't managed carefully........

Your choice.....

actually its not my first i have been doing this for about 15 years now. just wondering if any one had tried it and how it came out.

I'd add way more melon than you think you'll need because it is so light in flavor. I don't know if you have a juicer or fruit press, but maybe you can do it like a cyser or pyment in that you use all melon juice instead of water?

i personally have never used that much apple cider in a mead, using pure apple instead of just part... will have to try that. either way its already done and over for now and all thats left is the waiting... i hate wating you wants to play checkers?

Never tried it, but it sounds terrible to me. But then I never would've guessed mint & lime would go together as well as they do in a mojito either. I'd do some taste testing if I were you. Chew a mint leaf while eating some honeydew melon & see how it tastes; go from there.
Regards, GF.
