Tonight, we had beer battered bluegill (homebrew in the batter), wild rice that we harvested last fall, pickled beets from our garden, stir fried veggies (yellow squash and brocoli from our garden) and my first sample of the valpolicella kit. Followed by raspberries I picked today on our 80 in Wisconsin.

All I can say is "wow". The meal was terriffic, but better was the satisfaction of becoming able to produce and prepare our own food. I think that alone made it taste so good!
 
Beer Batter Blue Gill Rock! Down here, we grow em big though. A little beer with Aunt Jemima's Buttermilk Pancake mix with salt & pepper. Wow!

We get filets as big as your hand down here.
