A lighter shade of brown

I've been using Sam Adams bottles for a long time. Recently my son wanted Sam Adams Light. OK. So, I saved those bottles too. As I was going through the ritual of soaking the labels off, I noticed that the Sam Lite bottles were not as dark of a brown as the "regular" Sams.

Any ideas why?

Are they the same thickness? They didn't put them in cheaper bottles, did they? Do the SA Light bottles weigh the same as regular SA?

Nah he's just using urine as a no-rinse sanitizer. There's been some of that going around lately. The yellow is certain to lighten the brown.
