As going to do a 3 gallon batch of oatmeal stout (new recipe test batch) and ended up with 4.75 gallons in the fermenter.
I kept going with the sparge until I hit my pre boil gravity and ended up with a mash efficiency of 91% and a total brew efficiency of 96%. Best ever!!
Hopefully the recipe works and taste as good as my brew day. I'll find out in a couple months!
