If the beer was already carbed, the higher temps probably didn't hurt it (at worst, just shortened the life a little).
I've had my AC go out a couple of times - both times it was the motor run capacitor and I was able to go buy a new one for IIRC about $20 one time and $13 or $14 the second time. Swapped out with the old one myself and had no service charge. If that's the problem, you'll probably see a bulge at the top of the capacitor - get the microfarad size (uF) for the capacitor - mine has two capacitors in one can, so you need both sizes, and the voltage rating. I bought mine from Johnstone Supply - don't know if that is national or just a local company.
