Anybody see a problem subing 6 row for 2 row in a batch of barley wine? The recipe that I was looking to use has 21 lbs of base.(2row) But I have alot of 6-row on hand and would like to use it up. So, any problems using it?
There is also about a pound of other special grains if that matters.

Greater chance of chill haze with 6-row because of the higher protein levels, but if you don't put that much stock on being pretty, that's not an issue. I wouldn't let it bother me. Especially if you just consider this a brew to get rid of some surplus malts.

You might also consider using some of the 6-row in brews that will have a lot of specialty grains in it since they have higher diastatic power. You can brew some lower gravity beers with lots of specialty grains without having to use as much base malt.
