I also have two, a 5 and a 12g. The 5 I use for "normal" gravity and session beers. Normal would be up to 1.050. Anything bigger I have to use the 12g as I batch sparge. I found with session beers especially (1.035-1.040) that it was hard to get a consistent mash temp and hold it in my original 12g.
