that's a 6.5 gallon carboy so he's pretty close to 5 gallons there.

Nice krausen. Mine takes 36 hours to do that usually.
 
I wonder about those thermometers. That "fermentation room" or closet as it normally called by my wife, stays about 67 - 70 degrees. I think the temp runs high during initial fermentation. Regardless, it's all I have right now, so we'll see.
 
Just took a gravity on my 4th all grain batch. OG - 1.058, FG 1.012. Cold crashed it today and will keg it on Sunday. Ready to go for my sons H.S. Graduation party next Saturday. Beer is for me and my friends, not him and his friends by the way.
