I have a bag of 2 row, uncrushed, has been in a dark cool place and is 10 months old, maybe 8months. Is it still good? Is there a freshness or endosperm break down point? Is this unchrushed grain still suitable for use?

Yes it still good. The way to know for sure is to pop a grain in your mouth. If it tastes good, use it. A couple of years ago I got some 7 lbs of grain from a buddy that was over 4 years old and I brewed with it. The only problem I had was low conversion in the mash but it made tasty beer nonetheless.
