So I have had 3 kegs sitting around and I really need 20 gal capacity to ferment in, or even 15 gal. So i came up with this today. Maybe someone can shed some light or thoughts on feasibility. I can tig weld but not goo enough to weld two kegs together sanitary.

There was an ad on craigslist that someone posted in here a few months back. Someone did the exact same thing u were looking to do with temp probs and bulkheads and everything already in. So it is possible but it didn't say the total capacity

I did the exact same thing you're looking to do but used the joined keggle as a mash tun. I found that dimensions of the kegs weren't the same and because of use were not 100% round - that was a pain!

I did take another keg and cut the bottom off and made a conical out of it, total volume is ~18 gal. That's easy enough to do, not sure it'll fit your requirements tho.

Some of the Brute containers are food safe... sorta. Per their website:

Gray, White and Yellow are USDA Meat & Poultry Equipment Group Listed and assist in complying with HACCP guidelines.

*However* this is not per drinking water standards. You may want to check the plastic mold release agent thread (in regards to the home depot buckets).

I'll try to find some white plastic drums while I build some conicals 30 gal plastic conicals. Then use the drums later for some hard cider we all love so much
