Hello fellow GF brewers! We know that this is an active group for GF brewing discussion and that many of you are not Facebook users where the "Zero Tolerance" GF group resides. As one of the group admins there, I thought it would be worth cross-posting here on a survey we've just launched. There are a few questions that are specific to running that group, but most of it is oriented to brewing practices and outlook. We'd love to get your participation! Here's the original post with the survey link:

The 2021 Zero Tolerance Gluten Free Homebrew Survey is now live and ready for you!

(Queue dramatic opening music)
GF brewing is one of the most rapidly evolving spheres of the craft today and you are all pioneers of this new frontier. Even in the short span of the last 18 months, we've seen some cool advances in ingredients, yeast, enzymes and brewing techniques that continue to raise the bar on gluten free beer. Whether or not you're a bleeding edge innovator, getting a collective understanding of how, what, and why we brew GF helps us understand where we're at and where new opportunities remain.

Cale and I have made some attempts to streamline the questions, but fair warning, this is not a quick and superficial questionnaire. There's an option for a slightly downsized version, but either way, we suggest you fill your pint glass with a slow sipper and allow 15-20 minutes to complete.

We hope the satisfaction of participating in the first ever (?) survey of gluten free homebrewing is enough to motivate you to participate, but as additional incentive we'll be doing a weekly draw for some small swag items (ZT t-shirts, an Inkbird temp controller, a CO2 manifold, and possibly some other TBD items). Reminder this is a volunteer gig for Cale & I, and we may have to get creative for prize winners outside of North America where shipping costs are a factor.

The goal would be to get 130 - 200 responses -- 10 to 15% of our FB group membership -- and we'll be posting as well to Homebrew Talk where there is a pretty active GF brewing circle. For now, we're planning to leave the survey open for about 4 -6 weeks (mid to end of March) before summarizing the responses.

Thanks for your participation and support!

Did I mention the prize draw? We'll be doing a weekly draw for the next few weeks, starting today (Feb 18) at 3pm Pacific.

Survey Swag Updates! We still need about 80 responses to reach our 10% target. We’ve got a few new draw prizes to offer that may help inspire you to participate:

- Brewer's Friend ( has offered 2 one-year premium memberships to their online brewing software. No Ads, unlimited recipes & brew sessions, Tilt & iSpindel integration. The first membership will be up for draw this Thursday Feb 25 -- get your entries in by then if you want a chance to win. (This is available regardless of where you live).

- To encourage more UK residents to respond, AltGrain has generously offered 2 free kilos of their English malted millet and a bottle of enzymes to boot. We'll draw a winner once we get 12 or more UK responses (shipping to UK addresses only at present).

- Australians, similar offer for you: Help us get to 20+ Aussie responses and TWØBAYS Brewing will kindly provide a free kilo of Grouse malt to one Australian winner (when you order from their online malts shop).
