I came across some bulk hops at a good price. They're 2013 crop. That means they were grown from 2013 and harvested in 2014, right? Any disadvantages to using these hops if they're pellets in nitrogen flushed bags? Thanks guys

No, it means they were harvested in 2013. I think they should be fine if they are packaged properly and have been stored properly.

A 2013 crop would have been grown and harvested in 2013, with the harvest in the Fall.

So the question is, how were they treated in the last ~year and a half...

Cheers!

How good a price? Deals are around on 2014 crop as well.

Yakimavalleyhops.com and an eBay vendor thausotter or something like that, search pellet hops pound.

Thanks guys, well chinook and cascade from the 2013 harvest come out to about $8/lb which seems cheap to me. However, I would have to commit to at least a 22lb order, and it would suck to get hops that are not as good anymore
