I am interested in tasting the differences between different hops, as well as grains and yeast. So i plan to brew up a bunch of smaller SMaSH batches, changing just one thing between them. First i'm doing hops.

Since i have some Cascade, Centennial, and Mt Hood hops i decided that i might as well use those up first. I headed to my LHBS and picked up 10lbs of Maris Otter and am going to follow this recipe:

Since thats a 5.5gal batch, i plan to just split the recipe in half and do 2 2.75gal batches. I also plan to adjust the hops schedule, i'll play with it in BeerSmith tonight before I brew to get the plan. I plan to do one with Cascade and the other with Centennial.

This will be my first SMaSH brew, as well as my first small batch. Any problems or suggestions for me before i jump in?

Thanks in advance!
