It's just a Blonde Ale extract kit so nothing too remarkable, but finally tasted my first homebrew last night. Very light ale, some bready malt with a nice clean finish. Nice steady session beer. Learned a lot from reading this board, next up is a Samuel Smith Oatmeal Stout clone from AHS. Aggressive pour made for a nice head, it doesn't have quite that much body but it definitely has a nice feel for a lighter style beer.

Thanks all. It's very satisfying to crack that first one open. Granted, I just boiled up a kit, but still nice to have a supply of homemade brew. Definitely has a nice "fresh" taste to it...could just be biased tastebuds.

No, it's not bias at all, my friend. Been at this over 15 years, now. There is nothing like opening that first bottle, that YOU made.

Congrats, and welcome!
