Just Cracked open my first bottle of home brew:)... sat in the Primary for 3 weeks and then in the bottle for a week and a half. Needs to sit a bit longer (i know patience is a virtue, but i just couldn't wait) to mellow as it is quite bitter and hoppy but I really wanted to see what it tasted like at this point. If it is true that it will only get better with age I am hopeful that this will be a good brew. :rockin::D
Forgot to mention that this is an Irish red ale kit from Midwest Supplies. Looking forward to my home brew journey.

Yup. It will. I like that kit, very solid. In two more weeks that will be a little bit different, not a ton but you'll notice it.

Not sure what you like for Irish Reds (other than buxom? :) ) but I make that now by buying from LHBS and doubling the roasted barley and using Pacman yeast

I'll bet that all of us remember that very first bottle of home brew VIVIDLY, as well as the lack of patience surrounding it!

I've brewed Midwest's Irish Red, and it is one I will brew again. Good kit, and great beer.

Enjoy the addiction!
