I was finally able to get my first 2010 brew under my belt, and it also happened to be my first 10-gallon batch (a modified version of BM's Sacred Summit Pale Ale).

Every thing went great. Hit my numbers and volumes and wound up with great conversion efficiency finally (98%), and decent overall efficieny (81%). Seems like I have my conversion efficiency issues worked out finally (maybe it helped that I didn't drink at all during this brew session :D).

The Toyota works perfect for my gravity fed system.

23.75 lbs of grain at a 1.25 qt/lb ration just barely fit in my MLT.

I love the set up... and those are impressive numbers btw. I am brewing my first AG tomorrow, a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale clone. I picked up the recipe from this website. I'll have to see if my Chevy will work as well for the my gravity fed system...ha ha ha...nice.

Everyman should own a truck and cinder blocks. Get ready for more snow this weekend I hear. Oh, great job on the brew as well!

This isn't my usual set-up, but worked out really nice.

yep, more snow Sunday. I'm sick of winter! It's teasing us with spring this week though.

If your kettle was a little squatter that would be my setup to a T. Glad you got good results since I'm doing my first 10 gallon in two weeks. even the same cooler color :)

Watch the throttle sticking in that Yota. It will throw all your brewing gear in the weeds!:D
