Hello yesterday I did a test run with 5gal of water an I boil for 15mins kill the heat an put the Lid In an let it cool over night. An today I measured that it boil down too 4.50gal so that’s 0.50gal an take that an multiply that by 4 that put me at 2gal boil-off rate in a one hour boil. Now my question do other’s get this similar boil-off rate with there 10gal tall boy kettle from northern brewer?

That seem a bit high what did your boil look like?

I have the 15gal tallboy and I get about 1.5gal per hour with a vigorous wort jumping boil, if I tone down the boil I can get it down to 1.2gal per hour.

I have a 11gal bayou classic and that is about 1.2gal/hr with a vigorous boil and down to about 1gal maybe a bit less with a mild boil.

I have a 10 gallon tall boy and I start with 7 gallons and end with about 5.5 gallons at the end of an hour boil. So I'm at about 1.5 gallons per hour.
