1 Brew 2 different yeasts

Hey I am going to brew my 4th batch today and was wondering if I can mix a wyeast 1272 and safeale-05 dry yeast. The reason I ask is the brew is a higher gravity IPA (1.088) and I am worried the smack pack will not be enough, and I plan on brewing in a couple of hours. Any and all thoughts are welcome. I guess this is the day to ask the 2 yeast question. I just posted a similar one, but not starting 2 different ones but waiting till the first stopped before dropping in the second. Good luck, I am interested if this different method may be better, worse, or just different.
